Frequently asked questions

Where are the jetties you fish?

We fish the long rock jetties at the mouth of the St. Marys River, at the north end of Amelia Island near Fort Clinch State Park. They are a short run from our downtown Fernandina Beach dock.

What can we catch on a jetty trip?

Jetty trips target redfish, black drum, sheepshead, flounder and other inshore species, with tarpon in the warmer months. What bites depends on the season.

How long is a jetty fishing trip?

Our half day jetty trip is 4 hours and our 3/4 day jetty trip is 6 hours. Both have morning and afternoon start times.

Is jetty fishing good for beginners and kids?

Yes. Jetty trips stay close to the inlet with short runs between spots, and the captain handles the bait and rigging. Children are welcome and must wear a life jacket.

Is fish cleaning included?

Yes. We clean and fillet your catch at the end of the trip, and fishing licenses, bait and tackle are included too.
